Funds raised in 1992, 1.230.128 €, went to developing the Register of Bone Marrow Donors (REDMO). The purpose of this register is to make sure that patients waiting for bone marrow transplants who lack a compatible donor in their families do not miss the chance for treatment. Funds collected were earmarked for the search for donors. This included "promoting donors" and "standardizing donors", as well as setting up the infrastructure for standardization and hooking up and permanently updating the computer and communications systems
