How far can you take your fantasy? Are you ready to face real life?
Djalal Banchs was obsessed with war games before he could even walk. As the only child of a middle-class Catalan family, his parents gave him all he could wish for and more. He had a whole range of toy weapons so he could play soldier and, as he got older, his games became more and more sophisticated. He began to film himself on video, recreating military operations, and then put his videos on YouTube, creating an online identity called Lord_Sex, with thousands of followers. Taking this dream to the limit, he went off to the Afghanistan front to operate as a sniper. War, however, is not as exciting as the films make it out to be, and Djalal got bored.
Disappointed by the experience, he returned home to find that all had changed. The economic crisis had taken a heavy toll on the family, and he had to make some decisions. The game was over and Djalal had to find his own place in the real world.
A close-up and realistic portrait that offers the viewer an insight into just how deeply video games can influence a young person, leading him to become a soldier in a war that is not a virtual game.
