Anna, a twelve-year-old girl; Lidia, who is thirty-something; and Josep, who is going on fifty, are involved in a car accident.
They're taken to the hospital and their family members are contacted. Anna's mother, Lidia's boyfriend, Toni, and Josep's daughter, Sara, find themselves sitting together in the hospital waiting room. They've never met, nor do they understand why their family members were traveling in the same car.
