Fate Can be Fickle
Things seem to be coming up roses for Daniel. He's a happy family man, is a reasonably successful publisher who enjoys his work, and he leads a comfortable existence. His wife, Clara, is about to open a thalassotherapy center in her hometown and they are in the process of moving with their 10-year-old son from Madrid to a peaceful and pleasant spot on the coast.
Nonetheless, fate can sometimes be fickle. Just his new life is on the verge of unfolding, a young Rumanian woman happens to cross paths with Daniel and her shapely legs and natural charm are enough to convince him to drive her from Valencia to Barcelona, where she claims to be headed.
Before the trip gets underway, however, something happens which completely turns Daniel's life, and that of his family, upside down.
