Baloo, Mowgli and Bageerah are busy catching some fish. But Jakala is on his way and Baloo gets stuck in the river mud. Even as Mowgli goes ahead to help his friend, Bageerah stays put. Once Baloo is safe, Bageerah confesses that he is scared of water. Mowgli and Baloo decide to help him. Mowgli and Baloo help Bageerah lose his fear. They first get him into the water. Next Mowgli ties a liana around Bageerah to keep him from being swept away by the river. He loses his grip and falls in the river and starts flailing helplessly. In doing so he actually starts swimming but Mowgli has bigger plans. Mowgli wants Bageerah to jump into the river so that he can feel a splash of water. But Bageerah stays put. Meanwhile, Jakala is back from wherever he was swept away and vows revenge on the man-cub. Darzee hears this and she must warm Mowgli. Bageerah finds the water nice once he has jumped in but he soon notices Jakala coming and swims out of the water followed by Mowgli. Baloo is stuck again and this time Bageerah acts brave, lands on jakala, traps his jaws shut while Mowgli helps Baloo get out of the water. Bageerah, though brave decides not to do anything with the water again for a long time.
